1. Information We Collect

When you create an account on Kshurika Academy, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and your role on the platform (student or teacher). When you enroll in a batch, payment information is collected and processed securely through Razorpay; we never store full card or bank details on our servers.

During live classes, we capture attendance through periodic heartbeat signals to track your participation accurately. We also store chat messages and doubts you post during sessions so they remain available to your batch and teacher.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the learning platform.
• To process enrollments and payments.
• To send class reminders by email and SMS.
• To track attendance and issue verifiable certificates.
• To share important updates about your batches.
• To improve our services based on aggregate usage patterns.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes. Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in, remember your theme, and secure the site; these are always on because the platform cannot function without them. Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

For analytics we use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics is switched off by default and no analytics cookie is set until you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics stays disabled. Analytics data is aggregated and we do not use it to serve ads or to identify you personally; IP addresses are handled by Google in line with its data-processing terms.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie Settings or the link in our footer.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with:

• Razorpay, for secure payment processing.
• Twilio, for optional SMS notifications.
• Jitsi, for live video conferencing (limited to your display name).
• Google Analytics, for aggregate usage analytics — only after you consent.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and JWT-based authentication. Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay and never stored on our servers.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You can update your profile information at any time from the Settings page in your dashboard.

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw your analytics consent at any time (via Cookie Settings), and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
